Nuclear weapons threaten every living creature on the planet. As part of a system built on colonialism, violence, and racism, nuclear weapons are also inherently unjust. They are designed to kill masses of people indiscriminately and to frighten other countries into submission. Nuclear weapons production, testing, and waste continues to disproportionately harm communities of color. The U.S. spends tens of billions annually on nuclear weapons, siphoning tax dollars from communities and making us less, not more, safe.
