The Back from the Brink New Mexico Hub launched with heart and momentum last month, drawing nearly 100 people to its kickoff event—an evening filled with powerful voices for nuclear disarmament and justice.

Though a power outage just before the event left the room without electricity, candlelight transformed the space, deepening the intimacy and focus of the gathering. The audience stayed fully engaged throughout the evening — a testament to the strength of the speakers and the cause.

The following day, the Hub co-organized the “Interfaith Remembrance of the Trinity Test” at St. Pius X School in Albuquerque. The moving, multifaith event included speakers, music, exhibits, and moments of prayer and reflection, and drew nearly 200 attendees in person (plus a livestream audience).

The efforts also received local media coverage via KRQE News 13. Watch the segment.
