Back from the Brink (BftB) activists and supporters around the country are doing all they can to use this summer’s release of the Christopher Nolan film, Oppenheimer, to educate and engage their communities about nuclear weapons, the harm they continue to cause, and the imperative to get rid of them.

BftB is providing valuable tools and resources to the broader peace and disarmament community for this effort.

Our co-branded flyers and H. Res. 77 advocacy cards were distributed to moviegoers by BftB activists in 23 communities across 16 states!

Please take a moment to peruse our Oppenheimer Advocacy Resources page. It’s chock full of information and usable content, including downloadable flyers/postcards, tips for effectively engaging the media, sample social media posts, links to articles and essays, as well as information about local events and opportunities.

Special screenings of the film in cities around the country have provided unique opportunities to lift up local voices and reinforce one of BftB’s mantras — that nuclear weapons are a local issue and that we must connect them with other struggles in order to achieve true security and justice.
